Laura Bec is a communication strategist, creative director, and multidisciplinary practitioner based in Guadalajara, Mexico, currently pursuing a Master’s in Contemporary History.

With a background in media studies, she works across communication, storytelling, sound, and technology, developing projects for brands and institutions through a cultural and narrative lens. She approaches communication as both structure and practice, with an interest in language, data, and media and advertising systems.

Through her music project Carrie, she released two LPs under labels such as Static Discos (Mexico) and Dearstereofan (Spain), and performed at international festivals including Mutek, Sonorama, MX Beat, Suoni Per Il Popolo, and FIB Benicàssim.

Since 2011, she has worked across the public and private sectors—particularly in political and social contexts—developing digital strategies and campaigns that connect systems, media, and audiences, while also teaching courses and workshops on social media, digital advertising, and email marketing.
